This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and [registered business name], [registered address], India ("we", "Lumetype"). By using the Lumetype website or studio you accept them. If you use Lumetype for a company, you accept them on its behalf.

The service

Lumetype makes captions for videos: it transcribes speech, trims pauses and filler words, and animates the words in styles you choose, then exports the video, subtitle files or edit lists. The processing runs in your browser, on your device, so how fast it is depends on your device.

Plans

• Free: the full editor, every language and template, with exports up to 720p carrying a small Lumetype watermark. No account is needed.
• Pro: unlimited exports up to 4K with no watermark, and your own fonts, for ₹500 a month [state whether GST is included].

"Unlimited" means we do not cap how many videos you export or how long they are. Fair use applies: Pro is for your own work or your organisation's, not for reselling access.

Billing and renewal

Pro is a monthly subscription billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay, by UPI Autopay, card (including international cards) or netbanking. When you subscribe, you authorise Razorpay to charge ₹500 every month until you cancel. Your bank may show the charge in another currency or add its own fees.

If a renewal payment fails, Razorpay retries it. Pro stays on for up to 3 days after the paid month ends while that happens; if no payment succeeds, your account returns to the free plan. You can subscribe again at any time.

If we ever change the price, we will email subscribers at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from your account page. Cancelling stops all future charges. Pro stays on until the end of the month you have already paid for, and then your account returns to the free plan. If you change your mind before then, you can keep Pro, and the next payment happens only when your paid month ends.

Refunds

Because Pro starts working the moment a payment clears and can be cancelled anytime, monthly payments are not refunded for partly used months [confirm this policy]. We do refund in full:

• a payment taken twice for the same month, or taken after you cancelled;
• a payment for which Pro could not be switched on because of a fault on our side;
• any payment where the law requires a refund.

To ask for a refund, write to [support email] within 30 days of the payment. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5 to 7 working days.

Delivery

Lumetype is a digital service; nothing is shipped. Pro is available in your browser as soon as your payment is confirmed, usually within seconds, and you will see it on your account page and in the studio.

Your content

You own the videos you bring to Lumetype and everything you make with it, including captions and exports. We do not receive your videos or captions, so we claim no rights in them. You may use your exports for any purpose, including commercial work.

You are responsible for having the rights to the videos you caption and to any fonts you add yourself. The fonts Lumetype includes are open-licence fonts that allow use in videos. A few typefaces, such as Helvetica Neue and The Seasons, are used only when they are already installed on your device, under your own licence for them.

Accuracy

Captions, timings, trims and translations are produced automatically and can contain mistakes, particularly with noisy audio, names or several languages at once. Please review them before you publish. You are responsible for what you publish.

Acceptable use

Do not use Lumetype to break the law, to infringe other people's rights, or to attack or overload the service. Do not try to get around the free plan's limits or the licence system, or resell access to Pro. We may suspend an account that does.

No warranty

We work hard to make Lumetype reliable, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or revenue. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for changes that matter to subscribers we will email them at least 30 days before they apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of [city] have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
